 We are preparing to travel across North America:  First we fly to Thunder Bay in the great white north for a show with the Sleeping Giant Folk Society on March 6th.    Then its off to Florida for the annual St. Patrick's Festival put on by the city of Ocala.    

On Sunday, 6 December, Poor Angus' second album " Prime Cuts "  won the Arcelor-Mittal Hamilton Music Award for Folk/Traditional Album of the Year for 2009.  Poor Angus would like to thank the selection committee, our fellow nominees and all our fans. Poor Angus is headlining the Hamilton Music Awards Four Band Showcase at the Hamilton Place Studio Theatre, Saturday night, the 5th of December. Show begins at 9:30pm. Tickets are $12 This will be an excellent evening and opportunity to check out four great bands in one spot. This is in preparation for the Hamilon Music Awards on Sunday, in which Poor Angus was nominated for an award in the Folk Traditional Recording of the year category.

       The Dunedin Celtic Festival featured Poor Angus, Lucid Druid, and Seven Nations on a sunny day, and beer-filled evening of fun.  
       Poor Angus were very well received, and were lucky not to run out of CD's!  The boys were thrilled to meet so many great people, and are looking forward to coming back to Florida soon.  Check out the photos of the show, and other Florida adventures.
